so what are some techniques that you all use to fit 1/0 gauge wire in a 4 gauge input? right now i have 1/0 running to my back battery and 4 gauge from there to the amp, but if i do away with the back battery i wanna use 1/0, when the amp only fits 4 gauge. any recommendations?

You can trim some of the strands off, thats what i do if i need to really cram it in there.

They sell reducers by Tsunami @ Circuit City for 11 bucks. You can find them cheaper online.

EDIT: Here are some Stinger ones.

I would suggest the reducers, just about every company makes them. Tsunami, stinger, scosche, etc.

Solder the end of the wire, then grind it down with an angle grinder.

I would trim the end down and solder it if done correctly it will look and function well instead of having to spend $11 to do the same thing.
