The difference back then and now is free or next to free equiptment. I think thats why lots of extreme compettors don`t demo now. When every burp counts, testing or at shows, I know we cant afford to play @ 30hz when were limited to around 30 burps before a recone.
But to bring back old extreme vechicles, i dont think hardly any would come out. I know loading and unloading an extreme vechicle is a pain in the butt, gas, traveling expensince, ect.
IMO there isnt enough people who are in the 159.9 class anyways to bring out a new class for 160 plus. Mabye in time as newer people join and vets step up to a bigger class.

Also I don't know of any extreme cars that can play below 50 Hz...
