ive got myself involved in a little bet with some people. My boss, who is a 30 SQ veteran and thinks he knows how to do spl, designed a burp box for 4 Boston G1 8's on 800 watts. the box is 10 cubic foot with around 60 inches of port and im not sure what its tuned at but i know the vehicle peaks at 43. subs and port both facing up.

my and a buddy of mine (9515rob) are out to build a much smaller box that will do some greater numbers. my idea was 2 cubic foot square with subs up and 2 4" areos out the back,

Any suggestions?

Seems like a rather large box for an 8" but it obviously works so what the hell

Mine will be around 80 Liters now when its being little modified and I hope the number go up a few tenths or so.
I dont remember the exact number I clamped from the "beast amp" I use for this (Mutant MT800.1) but it was around 300-350w @ ~3,5 ohm

Best was 147 @ 37-39Hz. But with some power to them (arround 3K from a DD M3).

I'm doing a spl system in a 93 civic hatch using 4 8" american bass xd8's and a soundstream x3.71. So far I have got a 147.4 using a nsb g2400 in a street style setup at 64hz.
