I have that same crimper. I only use it in situations where I need to crimp in a small space inside a car. I never use it if I can do it outside the car.

and yeah, with most car audio ring terminals you do normally have to go up a size in the inserts

those really are solder terminals, I'd be inclined not to trust them just crimped.

edit: thats the crimping tool I have, its meant to crimp them down into a hex shape when fully crimped...

I'd post a pic, but a recent virus has resulted in my computer telling me there are no files on any of my hard drives

I used to use a real cheap one ,it supplies 4ga ring terminal onto a Stinger HMP 4ga wire.one shop online I can't remember clear.
