It's a MTX Blue Thunder Pro 504, this channel only outputs DC. The letters on this particular bad transistor is "ST BUZ11" and the number "A740" on the top, while all other channel's transistor is "ST BUZ11" and the number "A648" on the top. What does all the numbers mean and which one is the part number? Thanks in advance.

Haha no man this amp is not worth the money to have it sent in to get it repaired, I saw the exact same one going for less than 40 bucks on eBay so I'm not gonna spend shipping and all that good stuff. From what I can tell only one of the transistor is bad but I'll replace both just in case.

Hey Boommer can you tell me if the part number is simply "ST BUZ11?"

I highly doubt ST produces that particular transistor anymore (I couldnt find it in their online database.) Your best bet would be to shoot them an email and see what they recommend to replace it with.

I'm on http://www.digi-key.com and I typed "ST BUZ11" in their search box and came up with this...

http://www.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?KeywordSearch

^^^Is that what I'm looking for? "A648" and "A740" came up with something other than the TO-220 case. Under the item number I can choose BUZ11 R4941-ND or BUZ11 R4941, whats the difference?
