why are you making such "low" power, 200v would be enough for 20kw into 1R?

I like this kind of topics. Thanks Murilo.
Simple working amplifier with the right components to work good.

this should be a sticky! great post!

nice clean amp too. you can tell it is a highend amp too with no jumper wires...

Luka all that voltage helps the performance on higher impedances.

Like on this example:

People, don't think the design is simple, without the microprocessor the PCB would be full of secondary circuits, like SMPS control, protection detection, etc etc.

is there this effect on music too? even if you have wired subs at 1R, and you could be driving 3R or more, at some freq, probably this changes a lot, from 20 to 100Hz

so murilo... what is the current draw on the 16 k you have at 1 0hm? how many batteries am i gonna need?

Luka, this happens with all amps, the magnitude differs.

Subweeker, a bit less than 1200A at 12.6V, and we recommend 100Ah each 1000W, will work with less but the more, the better, with any amp.

Terry - just tell them to suck it in and get them to fit in the rex LOL only an extra inch per... can't cut and hammer some crap to make it fit? my buddy beat the hell outta his crx tire well iirc or something where the trunk is to make it bigger so he could gain cubes for a glass box....
