G'day

If I had 6 8v cells and wanted to wire them series/parallel but only wanted to total 16v how would I do that?

If someone who knows could post a picture/diagram that would be great.

thanks
Dean.

wire 3 batts +++ and --- then wire the other 3 batts +++ and --- then connect one set of + to the other -. the + and - you didnt use become the + an - respectivly.

or connect the - of one battery to the + of another. Do that 2 more times, then connect all the + together and the - together

If all else fails break out the DMM and test the voltage.

Considering where my car is I think that is a given, nothing wrong with learning though right?

do you already have the 8V cells? if not, I would skip them and get a real 16V power cell.

G'day yes the batteries are already on their way to me, I got them for an awesome price so I am more than happy to use 8v

What brand are they? Wet cell or gel/AGM/"dry"? If wet cell, what out for the voltage spikes when drawing high current in very cold temperatures.
