I was laid off a couple weeks ago... I recently picked up a 2000 Lexus ES300 Platinum Edition in good shape. I've got the following equipment:
JL 300/2 (2)
JL 300/4 (1)
JL 500/1 (1)
JL 10W7 in sealed JL box (Prowedge)
Hiquphon Tweets (1 pair)
MB Quart Q tweets (1 pair)
Alumipro 5 fared cap.
Alpine W205 head unit
Alpine 701 processor
I know I need mids & midbass drivers & plenty of sound deadener along with at least one (if not two) good batteries and an upgraded alternator.I'll also need kicks for these drivers.
Should I try to do this install myself? I'm good with a wrench, but I have no experience with SQ (or any other kind) of installs.
I'm asking because I'd love to put this system in my "new" car, but I can't afford to pay for the install right now due to lack of work.
Thanks for any input,
Martin
