for some reason, the remote wire from my new pioneer h/u doesnt work sometimes, so i need to run the amp remote to another source. when i run it to a fuse,or the h/u turn on lead,i get a loud pop everytime i turn my vehicle off. is there any way i can stop this

a lot of people have that problem...on/off thump. What are you using as a remote turn on lead? When you turn the car off...does the deck turn off before the amp? That could be a cause of the spike. Does it happen when you turn the car on?

Either way I've seen a simple relay remedy the problem before.

Other than the fact that it's annoying...it shouldn't damage anything.

only when i turn it off. so maybe a relay inline will solve this?

if your car lighter only works when the car turns on which most do you could try to run it off of that. or you could hook it up to a switch.
