So I had some equipment laying around the shop and some spare time. I thought I would do the following tests. what are your thoughts on this?

Both subs where tested for peak Hz prior to shooting the video. so each sub is played at its loudest Hz to make the test fair. this was done only to keep people from saying the one sub likes a differant Hz becuase it does. the second important thing to note is that this test is based on actual clamped power and not head unit volume the volume had to be turned up on one sub to get the same clamped power to make the output the same. Thank and enjoy!

rated power:

40% over rated power:

I KNOW you must have tested both subs at both frequencies so what were those numbers?

great numbers from both, what's the colossus wired to resistive? your goal is to showcase the difference clearly happen to do any music testing? I'm curious as to output broadband for music reasons. I'm looking at possibly doing another system sometime soon. A valid concern with new companies is always how long will they be around and where will owners get recones in the future after the company could possibly go down.

impressive, just longer term than a season or in a daily system as well is where I like to know average/overall standings. I'm sure the AA is possibly cheaper as well? I think maybe those SAv1s hit power compression earlier than ur subs or whoever AA is. Like what I saw, but only reason for asking about recones is with this economy and large companies who've been around for 30 years closing doors, you never really know who will be around later... so far the AA stuff looks great on their website. I'd love to see manuals that actually had recommended box data since it said on the sub description to download manual which at least for the 8" wasn't available off the site... so something else to maybe look at.

I happen to be looking at subs in the 2.5" vc class for my next small build for my daily driver looking for mid 40s out of it overall from 30-50hz per say, a pair of 10"s or 12"s on music maybe single 15"but prefer 12"s or 10s, so what sized boxes are they suggested from '6x9" to 15"s? if you know off the top of your head... FI and DC seem to use smaller that typically run boxes from previous make and model subs of just a few years back...

I seem to recall your name, you've been here a long time? I think I even recall a mod with a similar name once back a few years on here or some other forum...
