USA-6000 was 2 USA 2000 in one heatsink strapped internally.AB class amp, very clean sound but too much current draw...It still is the strongest AB class amp after 10+ years...Very rare too

The most power i ever got from a usa-2000x was 128v and 36a starting at 2ohm rising to 3.5 on 14.8v on the batts. These amps where very stong for there time and clean as hell. The current draw was over 400amps under 450.

4ohms and 2ohms...

So 6000 is 2x2000 in one case?

yes, it was double stacked, if u look on page 3 in my cardomain profile u can kinda see one. de6000 is the model i had, 8 power/ground inputs, pretty powerful for its day, i was runnin it on a quad 2 ohm coil dd9917 in a daily beater. reading this thread it seems the crown was more powerful, but u could put about 4 of these in the same space as 1 crown so if u needed more space for airflow in a hatch or something this probably wouldve been a better choice. dont know though, ive never owned a crown.

oh and also, the later model us 100hcs were built like a 2000/x, i had 3 of em for USACi 0-300watt power class; and the 100hc ultra was basically a de6000, using 2 100hc boards stacked.
