Being a teacher, I feel the need to address what they are saying about education in the article. What people fail to realize is that test scores generally don't have much to do with the teacher a kid has when they take the test.

For example, if I'm an english teacher in the 8th grade, and I get 2 kids that read on the 2nd grade level, there is no possible way for me to get them to reading at an 8th grade level, and then teach them everything an 8th grader should know about english. A lot of the times it is the fault of the other teachers who let those kids slip through the cracks. I know that is a HUGE problem in my area.
