I read somewhere to run the power/ground wires from the engine bay down one side of the car and to run the remote on/off wire and any RCAs down the other side (driver's side/passenger side). Is this correct?

The power yes, the groung should be as clost to the amp as possible. Run your RCAs on the other side so you don't get that annoying hum.

Is this correct?
1)Ground and power from battery to cap. in trunk
2)Ground from cap to best location in trunk
3)Ground and power from cap. to amp
All 4 gauge except the ground from battery to cap 8 gauge
If this is correct do I run the ground from battery to trunk down the same side as the power wire?
Thanks again.
P.S. I'm running the stock system-just adding a sub and amp to it. (JL 500/1 and 10W7)

you don't have to use the 8ga ground at all. THat's just extra.
I don't have the money to run 10runs of power and ground each direction...
I don't like using only chassis steel as a ground either...

So, I use chassis ground and add that extra ground run, but don't worry about it being the biggest wire possible. something is better than nothing

Thanks - I will run the extra ground wire to the battery. Do I run it on the same side of the car as the power wire or on the other side of the car with the RCAs?
